How billing works at our office.<\/h3>\n\n\t\t

\n\t\t\tOur billing team works closely with you and your insurance company to make sure claims are filed correctly and your portion is clear.\n\t\t<\/p>\n\n\t\t

  • Insurance is verified when your appointment is scheduled or when you arrive.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
  • Co-pays are collected at check-in, as required by your plan.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
  • Claims are submitted to your insurance company after your visit.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
  • You\u2019ll receive a statement for any remaining balance after insurance processes the claim.<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\n\t\t

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama<\/li>\n\t\t\t
    • Medicare (gynecologic services)<\/li>\n\t\t\t

    • Self-pay options for patients without insurance<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\n\t\t

      Co-pays & remaining balances<\/h3>\n\t\t

      • Co-pays are due at the time of service, as required by your insurance plan.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
      • Deductibles and co-insurance may apply based on your benefits.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
      • Any remaining balance after insurance processes your claim will be billed to you.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
      • We accept major credit cards, debit cards, checks, and cash.<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

        Referrals & authorizations<\/h3>\n\t\t

        • Some HMO plans require a written referral from your primary care physician.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
        • Certain procedures may also need prior authorization from your insurance.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
        • Please contact your plan in advance to confirm these requirements.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
        • If a referral is needed but not obtained, your visit may be billed as self-pay.<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

          Billing statements & questions<\/h3>\n\t\t

          • You will receive a statement for any balance after insurance has processed your claim.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
          • Statements clearly show what was billed, what insurance paid, and what you owe.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
          • If something doesn\u2019t look right, please call us\u2014we can review it together.<\/li>\n\t\t\t
